Ruisi He is a long-time writer, poet, and debater at Shanghai American School.

Some of her best works can be found in the Scholastic National Silver Medal and John Locke 'Highly Recommended' categories.

Ruisi’s real passion, though, lies in the realm of art and philosophy. Her thoughts and philosophical views can often be found in her art.

This passion has seen Ruisi traveling far and wide, both in a physical and metaphysical sense. In one month, she may be in Europe enjoying a high-level debate with top national teams from around the world; in the next month, she may bury herself deep in the depths of her soul, searching for answers that trouble the youth of today.

Other than writing, Ruisi enjoys a wide variety of activities such as music, art, and sports. In her spare time, she has earned an ARSM piano diploma and performed at Carnegie Hall in New York.
